Teeth floating is the act of filing a horse’s teeth down so that they can properly chew and digest their food. Without this important process, horses would actually develop sharp and pointy teeth, which is harmful for herbivores like them. If a horse’s tongue rests on sharp incisor teeth it can also cause discomfort.
